We visited this restaurant twice while we were in Atlanta. The food was excellent! We tried many types, and I had my best of the 9 selections from every region in Japan. The first night we were at the sushi bar. I had the omakase with the nine selections on a plate. The slices were terrific. I loved my fish plate from different regions in Japan. On both nights we enjoyed a few dishes such as agadashi tofu, edamame, sushi sashimi combo, mussels, etc. We had a chance to say hello to the Chef, Kinjo-San. We had a very nice waiter and waitresses, Victor the first night and Jena the second. On our second night, we enjoyed sushi with our business friends. We ordered a sushi and sashimi combo and some rolls. Everything we had was terrific because the fish was fresh! The restaurant is huge! It has several sections, including a hibachi, sushi bar, bar section, and huge dining room. There is plenty of parking in the back. This place looks exactly like a traditional Japanese house. It felt like walking in Japan. Perfect service and delicious sushi! Highly recommended!

Nakato had been a family birthday tradition for us for years. We've had many different chefs who are all energetic and entertaining. Love that they offer tofu now and will even prepare your meal away from the grill if you have allergies. It's definitely a place for celebration, and make sure to check out the little farmed outside if the weather is nice! Make a reservation to ensure quick service ,

If you're looking for traditional Japanese food served in a traditional Japanese Resturant this is the place. The service was fantastic (thank you Susan) and the food lived up to the great service. Very cool restaurant complete with sushi bar, tatami rooms and shabu shabu tables. A must visit.

Visited on a Saturday evening for a Valentine's date night. Parking is valet only, no cost but tips appreciated. When you first walk in there's the hostess stand and a bar. Behind the bar is a sushi counter and regular tables. Behind the hostess stand is the hibachi area. We were about 15 minutes early but checked in and waited until our hibachi table was ready. We were seated and given menus. Both my husband and I were pretty hungry so I ordered edamame and he ordered the spicy tuna roll. We both got waters along with the raspberry Valentine's drink as a mocktail and he got a Tokyo tea. We ate our apps then ordered our entrees. I got the teriyaki salmon with fried rice and he got the classic salmon with fried rice and a side of calamari. After all the orders were taken (there were 10 of us at the table) we were served our soups and salads, and waited til the chef came out. I have to be honest, I was underwhelmed with the hibachi performance. He gave us a little fire but that was pretty much it. I've been to places with more of a show and I've been to places with less of a show, so this falls in the middle. Overall, we enjoyed our food and time with one another. It was a nice experience with good food portions. We also chose a good time to come because when we were leaving the lobby was packed.

Made a reservation here for Valentines Day. We called ahead because traffic was very bad and wanted to make sure we could keep our table. That was no problem and we were given extra time to get there. Valet parking was the only parking available. I'm a little weary on valet parking but everything went fine. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and classy. There's no need to overdress for this place as they say their dress code is smart casual. Lots of people were waiting to sit at the hibachi tables so I'd suggest getting a reservation on busy nights. As we were perused the menu, we let the server know that I was vegan and she was extremely helpful and even edited dishes so that I could eat them. I got the tofu dinner without the soup, a bigger salad, and teriyaki sauce. It was delicious! The tofu was actually seasoned and cooked well. We split a veggie roll as well that was also very good. My boyfriend got the lobster dinner with yum yum sauce and he was very happy with his choice. This is a wonderful establishment!

This is a solid place I was recommended. There's a huge range of options but I will say it's on the pricier side. I think the quality of the fish is great. Their servers are knowledgeable if you're a total rookie like me. The space is pretty big as well so it wasn't hard getting a table. There's valet parking out front.

The service was good and our chef was super funny and entertaining. The restaurant was incredibly clean. We ordered sushi and shrimp and steak hibachi. The sushi was not great to me, it was too breaded. I typically order fried rolls but I'm not sure what was up with this one. The salad and soup were good but nothing to rave about. I loved that the hibachi came with noodles and rice. The noodles and shrimp stood out to me most. I would definitely return to this place to try their other traditional seated options. Also found it interesting they had a random ring light camera in the corner of the restaurant, which I of course took advantage of.

We used to come here for birthdays and other special occasions 10 years ago. I was hesitant to revisit this place because some of us area around it has gone downhill. I was very excited to know that this place had not had compromise it food quality, still consistently higher quality! My friend that I went with also had the same experience of not visiting this place within the last five years. I was sad to see that the beautiful waterfall was no longer there, and they had changed the traditional Japanese style eating tables to more traditional American style tables
